buntA Waraji Sandals are "gentle sandals made in Japan" made with materials such as closed-cell rubber sponge, which is lightweight, waterproof, and cushioned, and braided cord thongs that are carefully assembled one by one by experienced craftsmen.

We consider "health from the feet to the whole body" through the walking culture of "walking using your toes," which is unique to Japanese people and is based on the use of thongs.

The specially formulated insole material "Marshmallow®" used in the footbed of the "Waraji Sandal" was developed as a rubber specifically for walking, combining impact and rebound when stepping down and kicking up.

Marshmallow® adheres closely to the sole of the foot and adapts to any changes in the shape of the sole. By integrating the sole and the Waraj, it promotes toe movement and aims to strengthen the "sole power" of the entire foot. Therefore, when walking using your toes and the entire sole of your foot, the surface of the Marshmallow® footbed may wear out, depending on the individual.

This is proof that the user is walking using the entire toes and soles of their feet, and there is absolutely no problem with the performance of the material. Although we have developed the sandals to be weather-resistant and resistant to wear, we ask that you understand the above and use the "Waraji Sandal" with peace of mind.
